What educators are saying

My students loved all the choices that this activity provided. It was interesting to see who picked what and how their product turned out.

Description

This no prep, share and go project menu gives students the opportunity to be engaged in activities which deepen their understanding of the American Civil Rights Movement while sharpening their critical thinking, writing, research, and even artistic skills. Since this is a PDF file, this product may be easily shared with students so that they may view directions virtually and complete project activities either virtually or on paper. A detailed grading rubric is included for each option, as well as specific instructions for each project. This menu includes 9 creative project opportunities. Students may choose between creating a photo collage of significant photos from this era, creating trading cards for important historical figures, making a timeline, designing a memorial to honor a key figure or event, creating a graphic short story or alphabet book, or even becoming an "expert teacher" on a topic related to the American Civil Rights Movement. Your students are sure to find options which suit their learning style and interests!

Do you teach the Holocaust and World Wars I and II to your students? Check out this bundle of no prep, highly engaging project menus to save time, money, and energy as you engage your students in studying these critical periods of American history! A bonus Civil War project menu is included as well!
