Description
Most of us are familiar with “I Am” poems; poems that students write to tell their story, which include things that they like or are important to them.
Have you ever wondered what an historical figure might have to say in their own “I Am” poem? This activity will guide your students in creating “I Am” poems for people whose lives and experiences help tell the story of our country’s Civil Rights Movement. Your kids will love this creative writing activity!
