Civics & economics: Voting and elections project

This listing includes a few fun resources that can be utilized which teaching units on voting/ elections!

The first resource included is a "pre-unit voting quiz" which includes fun and basic trivia questions based upon voting. This can serve the purpose of helping you gauge how much your students know about voting. This resource can also help spark conversation on voting, voter education, and further how to register to vote with older, high school aged students.

The second resource included is a bundle of project work sheets for a mock election. This mock election resource has a general project overview page, a "candidate portfolio" worksheet, a candidate advertisement outline, mock election ballot print-out cards and a project work outline (group v. individual expectations). Overall these resources help to provide an outline for a very fun, hands-on, immersive learning experience about the election process, and it is a great resource to spark interest and engagement in students.
