Spark students' interest by handing them play money on the way into class!
When you're ready to start the activity, have them meet in groups to represent either households, businesses, the government, or other countries. Once in groups, have them choose a "role card," which will give them specific details about their role.
Students will exchange money based on how it would flow based on their roles!
Detailed teacher instructions included:
- What to do before class
- How to set up the activity during class
- A "script" for how to explain it to students
- How to present the follow-up activity
Also included:
- Color money to print (or just use board game money)!
- Role cards for each student
- Visual directions for the follow-up activity
