Cinema Film History High School 9 Week Unit Plan Course Movies

In this 9-week unit lesson plan, students will study the history of cinema film making. This course will cover important innovations in the field as well as important historical figures and notable films. This course is independent study. Students will use YouTube, Google Search, personal film library, streaming services, and their public library to find the answers for their work. This class taken together with our Film Making Unit Lesson Plan will makes for a half year elective class. It can be used for a .5 elective high school credit.

This unit lesson plan includes everything need to learn about the history of cinema filmmaking. Students will follow along with a weekly calendar to complete daily work. Activities include watching YouTube Videos, google search, watching feature films, and coordinating handouts.

Students will need to watch all videos or film titles provided. The YouTube videos are listed exactly how they are named on YouTube. At times, students will need to use their own personal movie library collection, use their public library for resources, and/or streaming services.

Students should follow the course calendar that is provided. All work is divided into 9 weeks. It will be up to you as the teacher to decide due dates.
