Christmas Winter Holiday Writing Craftivity

This "Gift to the World" writing craftivity gives children a chance to think about what kind of contributions they want to make to the world. It also provides a great opportunity for conversations about good character and friendship. With several options of writing templates, teachers are free to differentiate to meet the needs of all students.

The writing component of this craftivity is best completed after a brainstorming session. Teachers can use the included positive character trait cards to spur conversations and access background knowledge. The included character traits are: kindness, responsibility, helpfulness, generosity, hard work, friendship, fairness, and honesty.

In addition to the writing craft materials, you will find the words to a simple song about kindness! This song is to the tune of “Yankee Doodle.”
