This set of Christmas music worksheets is designed to help your students practice known rhythmic and melodic concepts around Christmas time.
It includes:
- "Up on the Housetop" - Fill in the missing rhythms of the song (a couple formats available). Rhythm concept- practice half note.
- "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas" - Fill in the missing rhythms of the song (a couple formats available). Rhythm concept - practice half note.
- "Jingle Bells" - Fill in the missing rhythms (two versions) practice whole note or practice dotted quarter eighth.
- "Christmas Cookie Compositions" - Cut out the cookie Christmas trees, snowflakes, stars, and stockings and paste them to create your own Christmas Cookie Composition. This could be done individually or in centers, with everything pre-cut and laminated.
- "Which Present do you Hear?" Melodic Listening - Teacher sings or plays a pattern and students circle the present that has the correct pattern. (sol-mi pages and do mi sol la page)
- "Which Present Do You Hear?" Rhythmic Listening - Teacher claps or plays a pattern and students circle the present that has the correct pattern. One page for each of the following rhythm concepts (ta and titi, ta rest, half note, tika-tika, ti-tika, tika-ti, syncopa)
- Mystery Song - Fill in the missing solfege. Sing on solfege to figure out the mystery Christmas song.
