what does it mean to have a growth mindset in primary children?

My lesson plan covers growth mindset for middle schoolers during the holiday season. I have been using this resource for two years and it is my students' favourite resource. It comprises all the elements of the Growth Mindset.

1. Decorate the Christmas Tree with the things that are in your control

2. Cup o Cocoa with Koala- an interactive activity where students stick positive affirmations on the cups and gift them to the Koala

3. Roll your Christmas story- a dice game where the students roll the story from the hints and the creative wave rides a high often in my class

4. Gift an ornament to your friend- an ornament with a special Christmas item in the middle can be printed. The students write their favourite things about their classmates on the ornament and gift them for Christmas.

5. My Holiday Wish- a snow globe picture is given and the students can color it any color they want and write their holiday wish.

6. Light up the classroom- printable lights can be colored and positive qualities about their own self can be written and decorated in the classroom.

7. Things that bring me joy- the season of joy brings up so many happy memories. Inside the given space, children write the things that brings them joy during this season and in general as well.

8. Gratitude Snowman- snowman can be built with things that they are grateful for in their life.
