Description

These five Christmas grammar worksheets designed for high school students aren’t your typical Christmas grammar exercises! These are truly NO PREP, print and go, age-appropriate exercises to challenge and review your teens' grammar skills during December.

Student Experience: These grammar activities for Santa reflect a seasonally-inspired thematic concept of the page that coincides with key, standards-based grammar skills. For example, students will repair broken sentences (fragments and run-ons) in Santa's Workshop. Or, they will help Santa double check his list by correcting apostrophe errors. I’ve also provided beautiful clip art to add layers and interest to the pages to grab your teens’ eyes! Plus, for those fast finishers, there’s plenty for them to color and style! Extension activities are also provided on several of the sheets, and the grammar notes are included as well. Your students will get all "wrapped up" with these grammar activities!!

Skills/Themes Included:

  • Santa’s Workshop = Repairing broken sentence fragments
  • Here We Go A’ Caroling = Punctuating titles
  • Santa’s List = Possession with Apostrophes
  • Tangled Christmas Lights = Misplaced Modifiers
  • Meet Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus = Independent and Dependent Clauses

Each worksheet takes about 20-25 minutes to complete. Suggested Uses:

Traditional grammar practice

Sub sheets

Literacy centers

Learning stations

Homework

Test Prep

Review

Other teachers who've tried my seasonal grammar worksheets shared these classroom success stories:

♥ "This was a fun activity for my SAT Prep class. The examples were great for high school - they weren't too elementary for 10th and 11th graders. They enjoyed the examples and I liked that they weren't too easy and weren't too hard - great for review and discussion."

♥ "These were so fun to use, and with so many options, I was able to use some with one level and some with another which helped since I have multiple kids taking both classes and I hate to have them do the same thing!"

♥ "Another excellent product from Team Faulkner. Great product. A true time saver."

♥ "Another great resource! Anything from you is reliable and creative. Thank you!"

♥ "I used these as Bell Ringers for the days before Christmas break. The kids loved them!"

♥ "So much better than the standard grammar worksheets! Thank you! I look forward to using these seasonal worksheets throughout the year."

♥ "These were so great to use during those tough days before Christmas break. They practiced skills that we needed work on, but the students thought it was just a fun activity! That is a win-win!"

♥ "Fun and visually appealing, especially for MS students in those last crazy, hectic days before Christmas break begins."
