Description

It’s “The Most Wonderful Time of the Year” again! There will be presents, trees, decorations, and (if you’re lucky) snow. However, as Christians, we know this holiday means so much more than those menial traditions. We get to celebrate the most amazing thing that’s ever happened - the birth of our Savior. The Creator of the universe became a man and dwelt among us, all so He could die for and redeem sinful people. It’s incredible, inspiring, and life-changing.

But have you ever considered how ordinary the people in the Christmas narrative were? A carpenter. An aspiring house wife. Shepherds. These weren’t famous, rich, powerful people. They were ordinary, just like you and me. And yet, in God’s sovereignty, He selected ordinary people to participate in the most extraordinary story of all time.

This Christmas, take the opportunity to look intently at the lives of these ordinary people. Go on a five week journey to understand and imagine what they would have known, felt, and experienced. As you examine their lives, you’ll discover principles you can apply to your own. You’ll learn from characters in a story long ago, and you’ll learn about an Emmanuel who is still with you today.

Many times the majesty of the Christmas story gets lost in its frequency. We celebrate it every year. We try to tell the same people the same story in a different way. This year, bring the Christmas story to life with the “Christmas Characters” curriculum. Each lesson comes fully manuscripted with illustrations, discussion points, supporting verses, and explanations. In addition to the curriculum material, there is also a full set of themed graphics (title slide, blank slide, and verse background) to help you create stunning visuals to support you as you teach.
