Description

This is a practice activity to help students choose evidence that is credible and relevant to a given claim.

I found that my students would often do their research, but then not choose the most compelling evidence for their claims in an argument essay. This multiple choice practice is a great way to help students practice this skill.

I had students complete the worksheet after discussing the definitions of relevant and credible (noted at the top of the page). Then we discussed why the correct answers were the best choice.

I used this with my 7th graders, but it would work well with any students who need help with evidence in an argument essay. It is ready to print and use today in your classroom. No prep needed!
