Description

Engage your students with learning about Chinese New Year and Lunar New Year with this no prep reading comprehension activity!

There are so many ways to use this product!

Scoot: 

Place the reading passages spread out around the room. Students can go to any passage and read the paragraph. They will then write the correct answer for each of the questions. 

Reading Groups:

Take turns reading these short paragraphs, and answer questions together as a group.

Early Finisher: 

Provide this activity for students that need an extension and more practice with reading comprehension.

Research Packet: 

Print for students and have them read to learn about Chinese New Year traditions. 

Jigsaw:

Assign a passage to a group of students. Then, each group has a chance to share what they learned with the class. 

Each passage includes 3 multiple choice questions.

Students can also respond in written response form.

This is a great way to practice looking for text evidence in informational text to answer questions.
