Child Development Resources Bundle #1 (Human Growth and Development)

Bundle Includes:

• Toddler TV Show Evaluations- Students watch 5 minute clips of various toddler and preschooler television shows, and evaluate the educational information and provide their opinion on the benefits to children (1-5 years old). I downloaded episodes from Amazon video, but video clips can be found on youtube or other websites.
• Child Abuse Case Study Evaluation - Students read an article about the child abuse victim, Clayton Moss. Students will evaluate the roles of all people involved in the child abuse case.
• Play Activities for Preschool Children- Students are given manipulatives (stencils, playdough, paper sack puppets, popsicle sticks, etc.) in class and they must come up with an activity for preschool children to do with those objects, what level of play it is, and what the preschool child would learn as a result of the activity or play center.
• Child Guidance Observation: America's Supernanny Episode- Season 1-Episode 1: The Weeks-Suszczynski Family; I used this as a worksheet to complete while viewing the episode.
• Preschool Age Book Review- Book Review worksheet made for Preschool age children's books, but can be changed for any group. Students will choose multiple books appropriate for preschool age children and read them. On this worksheet, they will fill out the book name, summary, educational aspects from the book, and what could be improved about the book to promote preschool development.
• Child Development Writing Prompts- 30 Child Development focused writing prompts to use for journals, short answer, essay or semester/final exam topics!
• Words of Positivity for Children- Positive reinforcement encourages children to continue with good behavior. With this worksheet, students will create a positive word or statement for each letter of the alphabet that could be used with children in the classroom.
