What educators are saying

This is a great resource to introduce simple algorithms with flow charts. My students felt successful in the learning process.
BUY THIS to show your students not only the ethical side of chat GPT, but also how to use it constructively. GENIUS! At some point, we have to accept that students have access to this. Let's teach them the proper way to use it. It's not going away.

Description

ALL secondary teachers need this lesson! It teaches students how to use ChatGPT authentically and ethically. This resource is ideal for students who are just beginning to explore the world of artificial intelligence and chatbots. It is perfect for ELA, social science (studies), avid study skills, electives, and the start or end of the school year. It is great after standardized testing or even to set the stage at the beginning of school. These are interactive slides that are completely editable so you can add, delete, or edit anything to suit your needs. This lesson is designed to engage students in discussions and ideas around the responsible use of ChatGPT, including topics such as authenticity, privacy, and ethics. This technology isn't going away anytime soon, so our students need to learn to use it responsibly.

It not only teaches ABOUT ChatGPT, but it also shows how to use it to edit their writing. In the end, there is an essay prompt for students to write about using ChatGPT responsibly. After that, there are 2 current prompts students can use to edit their essays. This can also be done with ANY essay, so you can easily eliminate the essay embedded in the lesson. There is also a prompt that will ask the AI to "grade" their responses which will help with editing.

The interactive lesson includes engaging activities, thought-provoking questions, and real-world scenarios to help students apply their learning in practical situations. Whether you're teaching in person or online, this editable lesson on Google Slides is the perfect way to introduce your students to the responsible use of ChatGPT in a fun and engaging way.
