Description

Engage your students by allowing them to enjoy two different Charlie Brown Valentine’s Day films while challenging them to listen carefully and complete MATH movie notes. This would be a great Valentine’s Day activity, a reward day or when you need an “ready to go” sub plan!

This includes 28 total questions and challenges students to look for numbers in the movies. There are 14 questions for two different Charlie Brown films. Students then use the numbers to complete a small math challenge. For example, students are asked how many cents Lucy’s psychiatric help is and then tasked to draw a polygon with that many sides. I even include a video that shows students how to draw shapes in Google Drawings so they can do all their work within Google Docs OR you can print it and they can do it with pencils.

Charlie Brown Movies these movie notes accompany:

Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown

A Charlie Brown Valentine

*I have always been able to find the full movies online by a Google search by Title and add the words “full movie.”*

Math tasks involve: Polygons, Factors, LCM, GCF, Composites, Equivalent Fractions, Order of Operations. (It is completely editable and customizable to your liking.)

Holiday Fun + Math = Awesome!

Based on the standards addressed, this would be best for 4th through middle school grades. I use it for my own fifth grade students.

Students can complete this digitally as it utilizes Google Docs OR you can print it and they can do it on paper. If you students do it digitally, I have even linked a video I created to remind them how to draw polygons with Google Drawing. It is all ready to go for you!
