Description
Comparison activities increase the potential for student achievement and incorporate critical thinking. In this activity students are finding four key characteristics of parabolas from three different equations. Each equation is written in a different format, factored form, vertex form, and general form. As students are identifying the characteristics they are analyzing the structure of the form of the equation and interpreting key elements.
This activity works well as practice or as formative assessment.
