A great starting point for my ceramics students to learn about artists! I used this as an alternative to our final project for students who were out on medical leave.
Left this as sub plans just incase I didn't have a proper sub and students couldn't work in my classroom on their projects. I don't give many writing assignments but I think the students actually liked doing this and the artists listed to research were interesting.
Description
This is a 2-page worksheet that prompts students to research a ceramic artist or potter. Students can choose their own artist to research or can select from a provided list (make sure to screen the list of ceramicists for age-appropriateness before giving it to your students). This works well as a sub lesson or as part of your Ceramics curriculum.
The worksheet includes questions and prompts as well as a drawing/sketching section.

- 2-page worksheet (pdf)
- 1-page list of artist ideas (pdf)
Students will need access to the internet via computers or their phones.
