The BOOM Cards are self-grading and are a FUNctional, engaging way to address receptive language, knowledge of basic concepts, vocabulary, and could be adapted to encourage expressive language by having students name the categories and add to the category by naming an additional item, as appropriate.
It includes a wide variety of pictures with opportunities for students to demonstrate their understanding by identifying the item that doesn't belong in a given category and it progresses to SORTING items into the appropriate category.
