What educators are saying
This resource is so detailed. I teach the occupational course of study and this rubric hits up on several of the standards that I am required to teach. I love how well thought-out it is.
Description
This career research rubric aligns with my free career research graphic organizer. This project allows students to research different aspects of one specific career. They start with explaining their "why" and then begin to look into tasks performed on the job, job settings, hard and soft skills needed, qualifications, education and training, positive and negative aspects of the job, resources and roadblocks, and finally courses and extra-curricular activities they can be involved in as a high school student to prepare for this career. They end with reflecting on what they learned from their research and whether or not they are still interested in this career. This 100 point rubric can be used to grade student-created PowerPoints, Prezi's, posters, papers, or other presentation tools.
