Cardiovascular System: Guided Reading Activity

This activity includes a reading passage that outline the functions of the circulatory system, the structure and function of the heart, and the path that blood takes through the heart.

I use this assignment to assess the extent of my students' vocabularies and knowledge of a the cardiovascular system. It also encourages students to think critically and analytically about the text and content.

The answers to the fill in the blanks are highlighted in bold within the reading passage.
