What educators are saying

My third graders need a LOT of help with punctuation and capitalization. This is an awesome resource. Thank you!

Description

Students need capitalization and punctuation practice in order to become proficient at using proper writing conventions. As students practice capitalization and punctuation writing skills they begin to own and apply what they learn.

This Capitalization and Punctuation Practice set is a resource for helping students focus on beginning a sentence with a capital letter and ending it with a punctuation mark. It also provides practice in fixing sentences to ensure that the proper case letter is used throughout the sentence.

Includes:

- There are 6 capitalization and punctuation practice pages that are meant to be printed as a double-sided page.

- As an extension, this packet also includes 2 pages that provide practice with fixing run-on sentences.

Easel Activity

There are two Easel resources included with this product. One of the resources includes the product pages which can be completed using Easel. The other resource is a 15 question digital assessment that can be used to evaluate students' understanding of the skills being taught.

Student Engagement

These pages work well whole class, in a small group, or as homework practice. Students are engaged as they read the sentences, look for the mistakes, and write the sentences.

Pages support learning in the following academic areas:

- Writing (capitalization, punctuation, and penmanship)

- Reading

- Spelling
