Description

This simulation highlights the differences between free markets and government planned economies. Students will be engaged in economics by playing rock paper scissors to simulate work and earn money. There are three rounds that simulate Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism. Each round is different and highlights something unique to each economic system.

This Resource Includes:

-Instructions/Teacher Guide explaining how to begin and conduct the simulation. This guide includes optional ideas on how teachers can implement this lesson depending on their learning objectives

-Finance Sheets so students can track their earnings.

-Easy to understand slides so students know what they are doing each round

-Discussion/Reflection questions teachers can choose to ask their students

-A breakdown of how each round might realistically or unrealistically portray each economic system and how proponents or opponents of each system might react.

-A reflection worksheet that asks students how proponents and opponents of various systems might react to the results of the simulation
