Canadian Money Presentation on Canadian coins - coin value and description

This resource is an introductory presentation on Canadian coins.

It can be used as a lesson starter to familiarize students on the different features and coin values of Canadian currency and using the cent and dollar symbols.

There are 15 slides - The one cent coin is also included in the presentation, although it is out of circulation but still legal tender.

It includes coin features and values on:

- the 1 cent coin (penny)

- nickel

- dime

-quarter

- loonie

-toonie

There is whole class teaching and to reinforce knowledge of the coins students can work in pairs to describe a coin and their partner can guess what the coin is.

The PowerPoint Presentation is editable so that you can tailor it to the level of your class.
