Canadian Coins Sum Search (Printable and Digitalized)

Just like a word search but coin sums! Students will be challenged to find all 15 sums, and further challenged to find all occurrences of the sums!

There are 15 different worksheets included and 3 levels of difficulty (5 worksheets for each) There is also an American Coins version.

Level 1 - one coin per square

Level 2 - up to two coins per square

Level 3 - up to 3 coins per square.

You can choose to hand out different sheets so students have a version different than their neighbour, or give everyone the same version to encourage collaboration and competition! This could be used for elementary school grades, or for essentials level math courses in high school. It also makes a great homeschooling resource.

This product works well with Easel or a similar pdf annotation tool, and it includes an Easel instruction page for your convenience. You can edit the pages to include only the puzzle(s) you wish to assign to your students, and remove the cover page and answer key pages also. You might want to include one of each level, giving students a differentiated opportunity for challenging themselves.

Full answer keys are also provided (using cell notation "B3:E3") in case you are truly stuck on a sum and just need to know! But the goal is to get students counting coin amounts, whether they get them all or not :)
