Absolutely fantastic resource. Students loved being able to choose their own calming choices and being able to refer to it to support them in regulating their emotions.

These calm down choice boards are a great way to give your kids a bit of structure for WHAT the options are to calm down with while giving them the power to choose WHICH option they want. Giving kids the power to choose is a really simple way to help them take ownership of whatever they're doing, which we definitely want.

There are many options included in this resource, such as:

- Pages with 16 calm down options to choose from

- Pages with 8 calm down options to choose from

Using visual charts like this to remind kiddos of the options for how they can choose to calm themselves down is helpful for setting up expectations, encouraging independence, and teaching responsibility.

I hope these choice boards and strategy cards help your learners practice identifying their emotions and choosing the best way to calm themselves down.
