    By the end of this series of lessons, fourth grade students will be able to identify four major types of landforms, their natural resources, and explain why people live there. They will also be able to describe the four California regions and explain how each region's climate and location affect lifestyle and economy. They will be able to engage in reading a map using the grid system, and explain the different symbols and terminology used with maps skills.
