Description

UPDATE: This growing-product is officially complete and uploaded! All months August/September - May/June are here! YAY! Enjoy! (re-download your purchase if you bought this product at a discount as it was growing throughout 2015 - 2016)

This Calendar Math Yearlong Student Workbook is PACKED with math skills you already teach during your calendar routines. This product gives your students the opportunity prove what they are learning by interacting with their very own Calendar Math Workbook!

*If you use the Everyday Counts calendar math curriculum, then this matches exactly to what you will be doing each month. If you do not use this curricula, that is ok! My teacher guidance pages will help you along!

This workbook is intended to be printed as a monthly, quarterly/trimester, or yearlong book. I love to make my workbooks by grading period (for me this is trimesters) so I can use the workbooks as evidence at the end of the grading period. I am able to share a student's workbook with their family to show what we are working on, as well as the student's strengths and possible weaknesses.

I created this workbook with 3rd graders in mind, however, it could be adapted for a 2nd or 4th grade classroom.

Each month has 5 workbook pages—for a total of 10 days of Calendar in their workbook. I do not do calendar every day in my 3rd grade classroom. However, if you like to do calendar more than this, I included a page in the first few months that can repeat, or it is a great teaching strategy to pull a page from say November, to put in your March calendar book as a review!

I have also included a teacher guidance page for each month. This page has instructions for how to guide your students through each section of that specific month's workbook page. There are many question strategies included with a focus on how to bring more metacognition into your math classroom! I have also included tips and suggestions for posters to create with your students and post in your classroom for your ELL and struggling students to use as reference tools throughout the year.
