Calculus Riemann Sums and Trapezoidal Rule Notebook

In this packet you will find a booklet that you can print and use for students to learn about Riemann Sums and the Trapezoidal Rule. This booklet would best be used as scaffolded notes. There is something about having all of their notes in a little book that students love Much more exciting than writing in a notebook.

In this notebook, Riemann Sums (left, right, and midpoint) are covered. Students will also be asked to work with a table. Several examples are given. The trapezoidal rule is then covered with several examples.

A bonus coloring break is printed on the back of the last page.

The pages that follow are formatted so that they can be printed in booklet format. You will have to print them back to back using your printer or a copier. (Consult your printer or copier for further directions.) Although it may look as if the pages are in the wrong order, after they are printed and folded the students will have a nice booklet they can use.
