What educators are saying

This no-prep resource was excellent. I used it with my class. It followed the curriculum well and was engaging for students.

Description

This document contains 7 projects that I use in my AP calculus class. Most of them are geared toward an AP class. Rubrics for all 7 are included with the number of pages.

1 - review of pre-calc material for the first week of class. The students have to present their topic to the class and assign homework to the class.

2 - creating multiple choice questions. They have to create questions in the format of the AP test, including incorrect answers.

3 - creating a limit example. Students have to solve a limit in more than one way (algebraically, graphically, etc.), and create a creative way to understand limits.

4 - creating an AP slope field question. Students have to create an AP (calculus level) question that is similar to an AP question they may see on the exam. They also have to create a student response and a realistic scoring guide.

5 - creating an AP question on velocity. Students create an AP question, a student response, and a scoring guide.

6 - creating an AP question on area and volume of 3-D objects. Students create an AP question, a student response, and a scoring guide.

7 - grading others AP responses. I put together a packet of questions and at least 3 released student repsonses for each question and students use the scoring guide to grade them. They are graded on their accuracy of grading.
