    Description

    Make reading fun for your students as they learn to read cvc words with fluency with this CVC Word Fluency Bundle! The activities in this bundle will range from decoding and blending words, to reading simple sentences, to reading stories with cvc word families and common sight words.

    Print and Go with these no prep printable pages:

    **Open the PREVIEW to take a closer look at each activity.**

    • Read and Illustrate: Students will read 6 word family words in isolation. Then, they will read the words in the context of a story. After reading, they will illustrate the story.
    • Read and Write: Students will read a story, highlight the words from the target word family, then write the word family words on the lines.
    • Read and Match: Students will blend and decode words. Then, they will cut out pictures and match.
    • Read and Paste: Students will read cvc words and paste the word next to the picture.
    • Read, Write, and Color: Students will read a cvc word, write the word, then color the matching picture. 
    • Read and Color: Students will now read cvc words in the context of a sentence. Then, they will color the picture that illustrates what the story is about. 
    • Read by Word Family: Students will read words from 3 mixed word families. Then, they will color the words to show the different word families.
    • Roll and Read Sentences: Students will roll and a die and read several sentences all containing cvc words from the same word families.
    • Word Family Word Cards: Place on a ring to practice or use to sort in a pocket chart.

    A variety of word families are included in these resources:(Some activities will include 2-3 families combined due to a low word count in that word family.)

    • short a: ab, ad, ag, ak, al, am, an, ap, as, at, ax
    • short e: eb, ed, eg, en, ep, es, et
    • short i: ib, id, ig, im, in, ip, it, ix
    • short o: ob, od, og, om, op, ot, ox
    • short u: ub, ud, ug, um, un, up, us, ut, ux
    • lots of mixed practice!
