CMS-1500 Case Studies Set #1

This packet contains 5 Case Studies in which students can practice completing the CMS-1500 claim form, code for services and procedures using CPT and HCPCS coding, code diagnoses using ICD-10-CM coding manual, and calculate the Explanation of Benefits regarding insurance payment, allowable amount, as well as patient's portion. Included is a Fee Schedule and all the information needed to process these claims. This packet also includes a key to each Case Study. This is an excellent project to demonstrate the entire medical billing cycle from initial billing to payment posting and EOB reconciliation. Claim Form Key now included.

Note: For your convenience, I have included 2 sets of Keys. The first set is the EOB key that includes all the EOB calculations and the coding. The second set is the CMS-1500 key which simulates a completed claim form with the necessary information. They have been titled accordingly to the case.
