Description
This 23 page interactive SMART Notebook lesson provides basic examples of ionic and covalent bonding using Bohr atom models.
Teachers and students can manipulate electrons and atoms to create three ionic molecules and three covalent molecules.
The lesson includes nomenclature guidelines for both ionic and molecular formulas, including transition metals (stock) formulas.
The notebook provides an ionic formula practice chart, two sets of naming practice and a set of creating mixed mixed ionic and covalent formulas. Each practice set has a pull tab for the solutions of each set.
