This unit was designed for students learning about the Cold War from a Canadian perspective based on Ontario curriculum expectations but can be utilized in any classroom learning about the the interwar period. Students will use a variety of sources and activities to learn about the themes, events and characters that shaped this fascinating period through 9 different lessons and 1 review activity. This package contains readings with embedded questions, PowerPoint lessons with student fill-in-the-blank handouts, primary source analysis, differentiated assessment strategies and a unit guide outlining the flow of lessons. Interactivity is key to engaging learners and this unit employs a variety of mediums including real-time simulations to challenge and interest even reluctant students.
