CGI Type Word Problems: A MATH CENTER for the entire year!!!

The following is a product I created to help aid my teaching of CGI based word problems. Even if you do not know what this is, you will still be able to use the following product. It is word problems that students are solving on their own or with a partner. Each problem is designed to get students thinking about how they need to solve. Many problems are 2 or three steps to solve. Answer Key included for each month. Directions for set up and use are included in this file. CGI is simply a way to teach that gets students thinking about what they are solving. Student pages are in Black and white for easy printing and the center word problem cards are in color (to be laminated and reused each year).

CGI student work mats (for students to work through the problem)
CGI answer pages for 10 months in the school year (to be turned in or checked by partners).
Gate Icon help page (if using this form of teaching), if not leave it out.
CGI word problems 5 pages for each month (Sept.-June) (2 problems per page) in color to be laminated and cut apart for years of use.
I hope you enjoy this resource as much as I have. My kids love seeing a new set placed out each month. It makes the center interesting for them again each month as well.
Grades 2-3 are a suggestion. I have used it with my higher 1st graders as well.
