What educators are saying

My students enjoyed the activity and it was a good way to get them thinking critically and creatively about different and innovative ways to solve problems with limited resources.
This resource is easy to deploy, the presentation and pre-lesson materials make it easier for the teacher, and the assignments keep the students engaged as the movie plays.

Description

Way more than a movie guide! This resource is a STEP-BY-STEP introduction to leadership styles outlined by renowned psychiatrist/professor, Daniel Goleman through the use of a true story and a popular movie with Brad Pitt, called Moneyball. The resource is broken down into six (6) student-centered activities that support the learning of management and leadership styles. Plus your students will analyze specific scenes to engage in critical thinking. Ideal for units in Business Management and Leadership Styles | Moneyball Movie: a Case Study

The lesson activities can be performed using digital or print resources and a projector if in class. If virtual, students would need access to technology and Wi-Fi. Warning! This movie has three instances of inappropriate language. Commonsensemedia.org rates Moneyball for ages 12+.

Your students should understand the Five Functions of Management as we delve deeper into management and leadership traits and styles as well as the movie message.
