Description
Apply the functions of management with a script writing project to pull in your students' creativity. In this project students imagine they are a retail manager to write a detailed script demonstrating their knowledge of the management functions. Have students work in small groups to brainstorm examples of the management functions in a business setting, create characters, and write a script applying their content knowledge. Students will highlight their examples with a color code to prove their knowledge of each function. For an extension activity, have students remove the highlighting and trade scripts to identify the management functions in another script.
This project references the 5 functions of management as planning, organizing, staffing, leading/directing, and controlling. If you teach other similar functions, this file is fully EDITABLE and you can change the functions to match your curriculum.
