Bundle: How Latin Works Unit

The "How Latin Works" unit introduces beginning Latin students to inflection (nominative and accusative in 1st and 2nd declensions, specifically) and English word order. The bundle bonus is a day-by-day plan for how to use this unit with your students. It should take 11-12 days to complete. Answer keys are included whenever applicable.

This bundle includes:

• A notes presentation that introduces students to Latin inflection and English word order
• A vocabulary sheet for your students to fill in and use throughout the unit
• A visual vocabulary presentation that will guide your students through the vocabulary sheet while using derivatives to reinforce memorization of those new terms, connecting them to what the students already know from English and/or the Romance Languages
• A "draw the sentence" translation partner activity using the unit vocabulary and basic Latin inflection from the notes
• An independent practice worksheet to help the students review the unit material on their own
• A "fabula fabulosa" template for students to write their own Latin sentences using appropriate nominative and accusative endings and familiar vocabulary
• The instructions for how to play SPARGITE, a competitive classroom vocabulary review game
• A unit quiz that covers all of the material from the "How Latin Works" unit, including vocabulary
