Description

This is my favorite project of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!LOVE IT!!!
This can be fun and last 2 weeks or you can limit it to 3 days depending on your students and how advance you want to go with it. You can totally differentiate easily.
1st day: they draw for their occupation, married(if they don't want to be married, I allow them to pay for divorce, but it has to be documented in their project), divorced, widowed, or single. You will just need 2 dice, cut the occupations and put in bag, boy names in hat, and girl names in hat.
It's fun especially for middle school. They can do it on a posterboard or they can do it electronic with PowerPoint or another program.
2nd: based on their income, they have to purchase their lifestyle.
They have to find their net salary, deduct bills, make proportions, include a circle graph, pictures of their lifestyle, a paragraph about their life. It is so interesting to see what the kids want and what they can afford.
