Description
These games are fun for the whole class! There are enough cards for up to 35 students to play at a time. Before you play the game, sort the appropriate number of cards for your class. (These come in handy if someone eats one of your cards!) If you have an odd number of students, use the “helper” card. Pass the cards out. I tell my students that there is no talking when we play Buddy-Up. Only the helper is allowed to speak if needed. Without talking, students pick up their cards and go find their buddy. My students lock arms and come show me the match. If they are correct, I take their cards and they sit on the rug waiting for all the students to find their buddies. To make this even more fun, use the animated videos that go with the game. There is a timer and a song that plays. Students must find their buddy before time runs out. There are five timer videos included and a video that teaches your students how to play.
