Description

This one or four day lesson (50 pages) and study guide focuses on the beloved and ground breaking Broadway musical, Oklahoma! Set in farm country outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory, in 1906, it tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry. Students have an opportunity to study its journey to Broadway, plot, creative team, songs, composers, plot, trivia, etc.

The lesson can stand alone or be combined with one of my Famous Artist Biographies Hugh Jackman or Ali Stroker for example) or other musical lessons (Hamilton or Wicked)
