British Literature - Simply Shakespeare - an introduction to his life and plays

This unit for Grades 7-9 is intended to introduce students to to the life and plays of William Shakespeare using a series of activities that include research, discussion and drama.

Included in the unit are information sheets on life in Elizabethan times, activities to explain to students the language and plays of Shakespeare and a series of activity cards for independent or group work.

Also includes teaching suggestions, a list of resources and evaluation sheets. (70 pages)
