What educators are saying
I used this to help start our Guys with Ties boys leadership group at our school! The kids love it, and so do the parents!
Description
What makes a good leader? How do we build each other up instead of putting each other down? In this small-group curriculum, young boys learn the answers to these questions and how to value themselves and each other as individuals. This small-group focuses on leadership skills, the choices and consequences around peer pressure, what are the effects of "put ups" and "put downs", and how being kind to yourself and others makes you feel
Included in this pack:
*6 ASCA-aligned lessons
*6 ASCA-aligned lesson plans
*Group handouts and worksheets
*Small-Group Skits
*Choice and Consequence Cards
*Parent Permission Slip
*Pre and Post Group Survey
NOTE: I got a huge donation of men’s ties, which is why I incorporated the ties in to my boy’s group. The boys really liked them and it was a good way to unify the group. HOWEVER, it is not necessary to have ties to run the group. I know some people just talk about why men wear ties and what the tie can represent.
