What educators are saying

I did this with my niece over Christmas break. She loved watching the crystals. We did candy canes and she hung them on the tree.
Wow! We really enjoyed this. Students were very engaged making their shapes and then creating the solution. The next day we pulled them out of the jars and all the students enjoyed seeing their creations! I will definitely use this again.

Description

Having my students make Borax Crystal Snowflakes before the holidays is one of my all time favorite winter activities! With a few simple materials and a little preparation, your students will have fun learning science while they make a winter ornament that they will treasure for years to come! I still hang mine on my tree each year! This activity is best started in class and finished at home.
