Everyone has the right to be heard and say no. Let's practice some ways that you can communicate about your needs, preferences, and opinions.
This deck was designed for students who are building the skills to advocate for themselves and their needs. It provides some scripted phrases that the student can choose from for each scenario. At the end, it provides a board with phrases and symbols with voice output that the student can touch or repeat. For students who could benefit from AAC supports, it may be useful to program the phrases that the student finds most useful into their device, print the last page as a low-tech communication board, or use their system to practice typing or generating self-advocacy phrases.
