Catching the Moon, by Crystal Hubbard is the inspirational true story of Marcenia Lyle - the first woman to play baseball in a men's professional baseball league.

Students love learning about real people and their stories of fulfilling their dreams. Marcenia is a wonderful role model.

This lesson is aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS) as well as Virginia SOLs.
