Description

Students will love learning the instruments of the orchestra with these interactive Boom Cards! Fantastic audio examples are included for each instrument. All instrument families of the orchestra are represented (strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and keyboard). First students hear an example of each instrument, then they will practice their aural skills by listening to an example and identifying what they hear (two choices are given for each). High-quality, original audio is used for each instrument, each playing a solo melody to help the listener identify it based on pitch and timbre.

(In addition to Boom Cards, this is also available in digital format, for playing in the classroom as a group)

When downloading this resource, you will receive a PDF that includes a link to download the cards.

Includes:

  • 18 task cards total
  • Audio examples for each individual instrument
  • Task cards for each instrument family (string, woodwind, brass, percussion, keyboard)
  • Self-checking task cards to identify instruments based on the audio example they hear
