Description

Attention special educators, want your students to 'learn' their numbers in less time? Want to teach just a little but end up with a lot of learning? Combine the best of boom cards innovation with an evidence-based practice called EQUIVALENCE-BASED INSTRUCTION (EBI).

With curricular demands severely outweighing time and the need to incorporate evidence-based practices into one’s teaching practice, this product provides professionals with the tools to teach curricular material effectively and efficiently.

This product incorporates a straightforward match-to-sample procedure and prompting to teach your learner about the relationship between the numeral, written word, and quantity. By explicitly teaching just TWO critical relations (numeral to written word and written word to quantity), free learning is generated as your student will have the skills to relate their understanding to FOUR untaught relations.

Without explicitly being taught, your learner will be able to:

1. Receptively identify the numeral when given the written word.

2. Receptively identify the written word when given the number quantity.

3. Receptively identify quantity when given the written word

4. Receptively identify the numeral when shown the quantity.

This product can be used by any professional (e.g., teachers (special education, ESL), BCBAs, instructional/ABA therapists, tutors, and SLPs) working with students diagnosed with Autism, Intellectual Disability, Developmental Disability, Learning Disability, or students who require explicit teaching to learn concepts. This product is best suited for students in kindergarten and grade 1, 2, or for older students on IEPs with similar educational goals.
