Create a culture of reading and a classroom of students who love to read! These book recommendation templates are great for sparking discussions about reading.
I created them to help build a community of readers in my room.
On library days, students would fill one out as a bell ringer and put it in our class bin.
Others were invited to read through them, or select one at random if they couldn't decide on a book at the library.
Students were also allowed to drop a recommendation in at any time.
My students really loved seeing personalized recommendations from classmates, and many said they picked and enjoyed a book that they wouldn't have picked before after selecting a recommendation! You have to try this with your students!
