You can use this with individual students or they can work in groups. For the book fair centers, students will find the answers on the paper book fair flyers. For the scavenger hunt, students will find the book described on the task card, then write the title and price on the answer sheet. I find that my students need plenty of practice with finding the price on the books at the book fair.

After your students complete the centers or the book fair scavenger hunt, they can read their answers aloud for you to check against the answer key. If you have enough time, students can read the “blurb” on the outside of a book that they found or in the flyer, to “book talk” that book to the rest of the group.

I use these with our Scholastic book fairs, but you should be able to use it with any book fair that has a variety of books and genres.
