Body of a Dog: Reading & Comprehension

Man’s best friend is one of the first animals to come to mind when discussing small animals. This is the perfect introduction activity to the canine species. Not to mention, every student could practice reading. This activity provides a nice overview of the anatomy and physiology of the canine species.

How to use:

• Use as an introductory activity for the topic.
• Use for that emergency sub-plan day.
• Use in a flipped classroom as the “at home” work.
• Have students look click the link for the reading and fill out as they read. 
• Pass out the annotated reading found towards the end of this document as a differentiated version that may help students who struggle with comprehension and or focus.
